Eye on Peace Project
Development for People and Nature Association, DPNA in partnership with the Institute for Foreign Cultural Relations, ifa are implementing a new and creative project that benefits from the passion of adolescents and youth in new technologies and aims to contribute to decreasing violent actions among youth, and increasing knowledge and involvement of youth in peace actions.
The project will link different groups and individuals from NGOs, clubs, organizations, ministries through reports on current and upcoming peace actions in their communities, to provide the materials for updating the project website and newsletter. The project brings new meaning for interaction and communication among youth, it creates an opportunity for setting common ground between adolescents and youth for safer, non-violent relations as an alternative to the current tensions.
This project builds on DPNA belief that adolescents and youth are the agents of positive change in the Lebanese community and that change should start by and with them.
Peace
Possibly because of all the turmoil,
Ego and famine,
All we have believed in,
Collapsed before our eyes,
Eternally blinding us from the brighter picture…
Ever wanted to scream out for Utopia?
Yelled for everyone to wake up?
Excited harmony from your heart?
Only Then,
A Letter from a Lebanese citizen
What does it mean that you’re Lebanese? I’m tiered figuring out that we live in different definitions, but rarely the definition of a citizen! I’m mad, angry, and scared. Once again I’m facing those last feelings in another round for our political situation.
